We had to put a second coat of paper maché on. But how were we to know what was "done" and what was left to do?
The solution came with our flyers. Since we'd used newspaper comics, puzzles, and the occassional sheet of past homework, our sphere was rather neutral looking. So the second coat is flyers, which is far more colourful. Finding out where we had missed was one of the parts he liked the best. :)
Because it took so long to dry yesterday, I gave permission to use the hair dryer right away. Big mistake! He was running off to get it without so much as washing hands. *sigh* Remembering the excitement and elation. Trying hard not to trod on it.
Wash up self first, help clean the workspace, then blow dry - AFTER LUNCH!
So now he's clomping around in the kitchen, rolling eyes at me.
[Why is it that if I ask him to do something for his benefit this is the response?]
[More to the point. Do I do this too? Hmmm]
Once he's done eating, then he will be busy with the blow-dryer. I don't know how long it will take this time - but we'll mark it down for others in northern climates who want to make this project too.
